I write, I compose, sometimes I sing... yeah, I do!! But this time I paint. I finally finished my latest painting (well... almost). This is my second version of "The Birth of Venus", which took me almost a total of three weeks to complete. Unlike the first one, this is more detailed and more realistic highlighting the use of light and shadow againts high contrast and bright colours.
The artwork is 16" x 14", oil on canvas mounted on a half-inch pine back frame and is expected to be completed this month.
Another completed painting is "Summerwind" which is inspired by fantastic summer view around Malton in North Yorkshire, 40" x 10" oil on canvas, unframed.
